| Torq
~ training, confidence building and love just wasn't quiet enough for our dear little Torq to overcome the lack of those things from his pre-rescue days. Six homes by the time he was 6 months old, there was never an opportunity for him to learn to trust his people and welcomed strangers. The dedication of his foster family brought him a long way - but he closely held his fear reactions making him too unpredictable to be safely placed into a permanent home. We will miss this energetic, spirited and determined little boy. |
Solo ~ due to an unusual illness, Solo only had a short 2 years with his adopted family. Once diagnosed, he made it through surgery - but the recovery was just to taxing for him to endure. He was a gentle soul that found happiness with a family involved in bird rescue. He loved his time with them and we morn with them over the loss of this all natural boy. |

| Mylo
~ although he didn't come from a rescue group - but he was rescued from a life of being just another dog on the farm into the hearts of some very special rescue volunteers. He was joined by other Doberman Paw friends in a happy and active home. He had influence on some special foster dogs and he will be greatly missed by those that had the pleasure of meeting him. Rest in Peace sweet boy, we will use everything you taught us and your spirit to help the next in need. His family has shared this portrait done just last year at the age of 10. |
Diamond~ with her gentle heart and soul has brought so much joy into our lives.
Diamond had one of the best personalities, from her silly characteristics all
the way to her sweet cuddly charm. Her presences alone would make anyone
smile. Diamond has gone through so much in her few short years, but she never
let anything get her down. She loved to play Frisbee, swim, and loved watching
football! She had a lot of love to give and we could not be happier that she
gave her love to us. Our memories with Diamond will never be forgotten; she
will always remain in our heart. |

Orion
~ he came to rescue when his owner's house went into foreclosure. He and his brother Comet were so attached after 6 years together. A few short months after entering foster care, Orion collapsed and passed away in his fosters arms with Comet by his side. He had a loving spirit and truly wanted to just be happy and make those around him happy. We believe he is resting easy knowing he got Comet out of their previous life and into rescue, and comforted even more since Comet has found a family of his own to adore him - as Orion watches over all of us. |
Tyson
~ what a special boy he was. He came into rescue near the end of his days. He was fortunate to find a foster home that adored him and made him their own before his days ended. We gave him what he needed in his days with us. He gave us all that these special seniors have to offer - which was everything. His presence is still felt around us and we know he is watching over the family that took him in and the rescues still needing help. |

Zeke
~ there is so much to say about this gentle giant. He came to us with a blank stare - an empty shell. As we taught him how to live - we had the joy of watching him come back to life. He was a regular fixture in the rescue booth and taught so many people what this breed is all about and all it has to offer. He is missed everyday and still asked about. His gentle ways brought comfort and joy to everyone that met him. He is still the heart of why we do what we do. |
Venus ~ MissyV - we wouldn't be where we are without having known this precious girl. She taught us that no matter how beautiful and loving, some dogs are just too damaged to rehabilitate. She spent 2 long years trying to overcome her fear aggression. Even with no threat present, she was still unpredictable. She adored people but never fully trusted anyone as she needed to. A Doberman without confidence holds many challenges and a risk not worth sharing. Even though she is gone, the memories she left with us help new dogs entering rescue. We desperately miss her each and every day. |

Calvin
~ It's hard to imagine your heart breaking while you smile. Calvin came to rescue with heartworm. With successful treatment he became a healthy and thriving boy. About a year after treatment he became deathly ill. Tons of resources and finances, no one could diagnose what was wrong. Over the next couple years he would have 'bouts' of this mysterious illness then recover. At the end, it was IVs and bottle feedings. He quietly passed in his sleep. He continues to hold our hearts and reminds us - we can't see it all. |
Deoge
~ Sweet, full of life and a joy to be around. To be taken by cancer at the tender age of 3 is just too much. He brought joy to his adopters every moment he was with them and years later they are still recovering. Grateful we had the pleasure of having him in all our lives - the pain from his loss is deep and unexplainable. He gave you everything he had the second he met you and brought a smile to everyone that met him. Truly one of a kind. |

| Rommel
~ Regal and true - he graced us with his presence and allowed us to fawn all over him on an annual basis. Seeing Rommel and his family crossing over the hill brought smiles and relieved the anticipation. Seeing him kept us coming back to that venue each year. Lung cancer has taken this joy from us. We will miss him and his dedication to us. We are comforted that his family is now part of our family and we haven't lost the connection. |
Bosco
~ when your first two weeks of life are filled with pain and discomfort - everyone wonders how things will prevail. When your first rescue experience is strangers watching your every movement - you wonder what they are waiting for. When you have surgery and recover with new friends - you know that everything will be okay. When everyone worries if you will get what you need to be happy and well adjusted without your litter and momma - then they come through with a perfect replacement situation - you give back every ounce of your spirit and soul from that point on. This is what Bosco is to everyone that had the joy of touching his life. He was a remarkable example of everything that is possible with only love and commitment. From the rescuers that first touched him - to all those that helped guide his journey on earth - he thanks you for making it possible. He knows he gave every ounce of who he was to everyone he saw. DMC took him far too young - but he lives in all of us and reminds us daily that things happen for a reason, allowing hope for the future. |

| Baron
~ loyal and true. He was an awesome ambassador of our beloved breed. He will be missed on the shoreline wading in the lake fishing for minnows. He holds the heart of many - and will for the rest of our days. We await our reunion with him at the bridge. There is no doubt he is splashing around, making friends, and watching over the lives he left behind. |
